Director Rob just sent this from the control room -- it means we have the right amount of show, not too long, not too short, perfect to the second, on the dot. This never happens, ever. "Like the tree height in Michigan!" someone wrote on our Facebook page.

Ford Field is owned by the Ford Family from Ford Motor Company, one of the automakers that Mitt Romney said should file for bankruptcy. Ford survived the economic meltdown without a bailout, but the Obama bailouts turned the economy around before Ford ran out of money.
Richard, Ford did get a large sum of money from the goverment but it was later after GM's and it wasn't called a bailout....Just a loan.
Extra rant! Come on, don't let us down! ;-)
I believe Gov McDonnell wanted to say, Little Miss Smarty Pants. The only reason I even suggest such a thing is that, I as a Democratic mature male, must still admit guilt to using Little Miss Smarty Pants, while quoting Rachel words to friend or foe,………... sorry ?
Rachel, I love your show and watch it every night. I can't wait to see you and Bill Maher at the Saban theater....got my tickets Yay!!!!
windows vista really rachel? :(
I think that's Windows 7. I'm pretty sure the NBC machines never went to Vista.
That is IT? "Show is exact" ? How freaking Spock-like. An exclaimation point!; a congratulations!; a smiley face!; the sound of bells ringing like on a slot machine!; a coupon for a free drink!. Hell, a dam Dancing Peacock, maybe! But "Show is exact"!!!!????!!!! C'mon...
What's neat about this picture is the program they're using to produce this result. The script is written into it, and somehow it calculates the amount of text with the rate at which Rachel reads text and it keeps a running tally of how long the show is based on how much text is entered.
So as 9 p.m. gets closer, all of the producers submit their scripts and Cory or Eelin or Bill look at that spot on the screen and usually it says something horrifying like +7 minutes and they have a heart attack because once again there's too much show to fit in the hour and then it's a rush to find ways to trim, cutting back introductions or taking out small segments entirely.
What he said.
All the more reason for a Dancing Peacock and Bells.
But speaking of math and algorithms, John Chancellor once opined 180 words per minute was ideal. That was back when you had to count words you typed on a typewriter (often as not one without a correction button) by hand. Always thought it slow. But that was what he said. The computer I assume adjusts based upon the actual speech of the presenter. But "assuming" is always a risk. :)
Show is exactly right! I mean exactly left! I mean exact!
