While the Iranian government continues to refuse to return the US drone that crashed (or was shot down, depending who you listen to) in Iran in December, the nation is offering an alternative: a toy replica of the drone. Iranian Radio Payam reported on Tuesday that a toy version of the drone is being produced and sold in Iran. The company is reportedly sending the White House one of the toys in response to President Obama's formal request for the original downed drone.
For the rest of us, the toy, which is one-eightieth of the size of the real drone, will cost about $4. But there's a chance you can get a free one, too- the Tehran Bureau Chief for the Washington Post, Thomas Erdbrink, tweeted that he will be giving away 10 on Wednesday.
Trend, a news website from Azerbaijan, reported that the RQ-170 drone replicas will be inscribed with "We will trample the U.S."

The largest majority of oil-based consumption in the US is for transportation (over 70%), not residential electricity.

You mean the TARP bailout loan signed by Pres. Bush and implemented by Pres. Obama?
Some people forget that Pres. Bush pumped quite a bit of stimulus money into alternate energy before he went into hiding after the economy exploded.
Also, the type of loan Solyndra had was created by the Republican-led Congress during the Bush administration, and got that loan under the Bush administration. The company imploded after Bush left office. The right are simply desperate to tar Obama with any scandal they can, even if they have to distort history, causality and even time itself to do it. After all, these are the same people who claim that 9/11 didn't happen on Bush's watch and that Bush is the president who got bin Laden. Time may be rewritten, but only if you have atrocious fashion sense and your own time machine. Republicans only have the first requirement.
Obama's action against Iran is working. I know that the republicans hate peace more than Obama but he has gotten even Iran's allies to boycott their oil.
Here is the rub-a weakened Iran would become fodder for those allies of theirs. Iran has put itself in a very awkward position. They can keep playing games as they lose power and are taken over by..say a pro communist regime or they can quit acting too big for their britches.
It's not funny, but I laughed anyway.
I think that selling little toy drones to mock the US after one of their nuclear scientists spontaneously combusted is a little bit funny.
I'm surprised they haven't photographed the crap out of that drone and posted all those photos on the web.
Probably trying to figure out how to build them.
