Via my very plugged-into-the-arts friend Norman Frisch, this piece of doggone awesomeness will be at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis this Thursday. What better way to celebrate the lack of a functioning Minnesota state government than by attending a dog-friendly opera starring an all-dog cast? (OK, the singers are human but you CAN bring your dog!). Also, the Machine Project sounds AWESOME!!!!

The Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis RULES! (even before this, it ruled)
brings new meaning to the term "horse opera"
Awesome!
Will you please go to the Marine Corps ball with Lt. Dan Choi and I??
Love it!! THIS is what I miss. living in a small (tiny) town, where even our closest big city (the capitol of Canada) is an extremely conservative place where the entertainment hasn't really discovered avant garde :)
I actually watched this clip. And I'll never get those moments of my life back!
Thank you opera/dog loving TRMS staff! A great feeling on a day we can use one. :-)))
Nearly famous. That's my sister's deaf movie star dog Deafinitely (the white boxer) at the 1:50 mark in this video. Didn't even know. Thanks for posting. Walker bound.
Shucks. I wish they had just showed the opera. :(
LOVED this idea. How very cool! Since I work as an animal talent agency - animals for photo shoots and film - I got a really big kick out of this!
