Sigh. No offense to Chris, but I miss Rachel. The material just doesn't seem as engaging without Rachel there to deliver it.
Chris, I love you man, but you need some mood music or a theme song or something.
Well, I think I've created a monster. Oopsie. Sorry Chris, didn't mean to begin a Chris-bashing fest....(But I kind of agree with everything the people below are saying.)
Oooo....yeah....sorry, man. Chris, dude, we love you, but seriously, you're like that smart kid in class that set the curve who we all secretly wanted to bombard with spitwads. The aura of smartness emanating from you is almost visible in certain angles. We're family here, and we all know how families work. I remember my own older sisters saying things like "that sweater looks stupid on you" or "that dress makes you look fat.".......Wait a minute....oh God.....that dress DID make me look fat! See, they were trying to be helpful. Here, all this time I thought they were being mean.
For the record, Chris is light years better than Howard Dean, who was like Cindy Brady on a quiz show when he filled in.
Chris, you did end on a high note, though. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
There is such strong anti-Obama sentiment nowadays, it's like an unbreakable horcrux that He-who-shall-not-be-named is desperately seeking. The poor guy could jump skyscrapers in a single bound whilst kicking the privates off Bin Laden's person and it still would not impress the right wing knuckleheads yelling the loudest. Liberal bias to the media? Seriously? Really? Where? NO ONE (save for Rachel's preelection preamble on the list of legislative accomplishments by the current administration) is willing to step up and counter the negative rhetoric with fact-based reporting. We should nail the truth home by repetitious displays of facts in simple to interpret graphs so the brainwashed among us can understand it and be enlightened. MSNBC tries, but is preaching to the choir. It's the other networks that need to be more responsible. Perhaps S.P., with all her communications degree glory, should school everyone on the 5 W's. (just kidding)
Husband and I look forward to Maddow show. We love your wit, probing mind and intensity. But, we are cringing with Chris, who has so many Maddow mannerisms in hyper mode, coming off as smug and irritating...I turned to dear husband and said, "is he a Rachael wannabe?" to which he replied, "I was thinking the same thing!"
Husband and I look forward the Maddow Show, witty, probing, sincere, concerned.
Chris has, uses so many Rachael mannerisms, phrases that I turned to my husband and queried: Is he a Rachael wannabe? To which my husband responded I was thinking the same thing.
Chris you need to develop your own style, you are seeming forced and smug in hyper mode. I have pressed the mute button
I'm telling ya...theme song...get Chris a theme song.
Chris is probably a nice person...but, his demeanor and delivery is so annoying. My husband and I were wondering if he misunderstood "filling-in", for imitating Rachael...badly in hyper-mode. The uncanny attempt to use Rachael's mannerism, has only come off as smug and forced. We hit the mute button.
Geez Chris, take a breath, quit flubbing over words. If you have too much material to fill the show, take some out, but stop with the stutters, misspeaks, and bobbles. It makes listening so hard and turns interesting news into an almost mindless quest to keep up with the story.
Sorry, I guess I miss Rachel and you are not her.
Can you post the graphic showing corporate profits as a percentage of GDP? It shows so much about the reality of the economy over the last few decades. And Chris, don't listen to the critics. You've been doing a fine job subbing for Rachel.
Wow great show tonight. Thanks Chris.
Jeremy Scahill and Matt Taibbi back to back. Good interviews Chris.
In my opinion the two best investigative reporters on any beat in any medium.

Perhaps it would help Chris Hayes out if his script was not witten in ALL CAPITALS.
