Oh my gosh that was so cute how the Scott McAdams spokeswoman was so psyched to see Rachel. <3
Wonderful show! Loved Tank's POV! Loved the visit to McAdams' HQ! Loved Rachel's "bridge to nowhere" throwaway line and Miller's "be straight with you." All of it was terrific and quirky and just what I'd expect from Alaskans in Alaska.
Keep shining the spotlight on the inconsistencies, hypocracy and lies. Eventually the wheels of government will run in balance.
The Biggest Reason To Vote In 2010
The biggest reason to vote in 2010 is because we need to move in a more progressive direction. If the Republicans are in the majority in the House and Senate Our country will move even further to the right than it is now.
The main purpose for a President to be President is to get something done so they can look back on their legacy and history as getting something done. Unfortunately what they get done can be something harmful to Our country.
Bill Clinton as much as he was a centrist Democrat, a lot like President Obama, "We The People" did not give him a majority in the House and Senate. The President still didn't want to leave office as a do nothing President so he did some things that were very harmful to this country. Repeal of Glass Steagal, NAFTA etc. But he did get something done.
We can sit there on the sidelines and complain about President Clinton however we did not get out and vote when "Our President" needed us the most and give him a majority in both houses.
If you don't think the same thing will happen with President Obama you are kidding yourself. If The Republicans take over Congress or the Senate President Obama in order to work with these people, and not go down as a do nothing President will move further to the right because a President does not want to go down in history as not getting nothing done.
I believe Bill Clinton did not want to go further right but he also did not want to go down in history as a do nothing President. We all knows the errors he made but if we all don't get out and vote on November 2nd for the Democrats and keep Democrats in the majority we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Get out and vote today if you have early voting and vote up until November 2nd! and pass this on because we have been warned.
I already voted and I voted Republican, this time. I want to know how the country will ever be more 'progressive' even if the Dems were to win both houses? I am serious. I really want to know. Progress would be having jobs and businesses creating jobs staying here because they can afford it. If it were up to me, Congress and the Senate would have one person from every single movement (pro-life, pro-abortion, LGBT, Latino, Asian, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, EVERYONE) included in every single decision and doors would be locked and they could not go home until there was 100% agreement by all on all policies. That does not mean compromising anything! That would be united; but, how likely is that? I was an Obama supporter. I became disgruntled when his promise to STOP spending increased the deficit and they raised the debt ceiling and he showed ‘hatred’ toward republicans for being republican and the unemployment rate did go over 8%. He should NEVER make such promises in order to maintain such hope on his side.

I do not believe that you were ever in favor of President Obama. How much did the Koch brothers pay you to say that? I really want to know. Also just curious what is your annual income?
? My annual income? WOW! That is a rather personal question; but, I am only going to say I am a middle class, working mother who’s husband is in the military and has been for 16 years.
For the record I was in favor of Obama for several reasons and TARP was one of them and his promises against federal spending.
When Tarp was done it was on Bush's watch just so you know. That must be why you liked it. President Obama was the person who saved our middle class jobs with the auto industry.
The reason I ask you about your income is because I want to see how it is you vote against your best interest. I own my own small business and make over 6 figures and I am fighting for people like you so your husband gets more military benefits not less. Please listen to ThomHartmann.com or Rachel and look at the difference between a Progressives point of view and a Conservatives. Don't Vote Against Your Own Best Interest. Seriously please don't vote for the multi national Corporations.
Are you voting for the Republicans because they are fake lovers of the military? I would love to know why you are voting against you and your children's best interest.
Hi Rachel! - Your show was great and I was glad to find out you did get to talk to Joe Miller, finally.
I do think you deserve to have a complete point of view when you examine the candidates and wish more would ‘buck up’ and face you! I am a conservative and have some extreme views to come to terms with of my own; yet, I do not need those with extreme liberal views going off and telling me I am an ‘idiot’ or f’ me, because I want to keep money I earn and donate to charities of my choosing. I am a ‘smaller government’ and less spending conservative; but, not a Tea Party member at all. I have some moderate views, too.
I have made the statement before that I would be ecstatic if I work until the day I die and never collect on Social Security. Work ethic is lacking when the government encourages food stamps and unemployment. It is really easy to find the videos of Nancy Pelosi saying how the bang for the buck is why she encourages it and even easier to find the extension of unemployment up to 99 months, which was an Obama idea. People on the left want to call conservatives biased, bigots, haters, and even condemn them for their religious views. I recently heard speeches by Obama where I would consider every comment about Republicans a bigotry and hate. We were labeled ‘enemies’ in his addressing the Latino community. The thing that gives me much pause is the fact that 2008 I did vote for HIM! I believed in his change and promises. It was the first time I voted Democrat because he seemed less of a ‘hater’ than some of the Republicans and one speech in particular he spoke of the division in our country and labeled us all (Republicans included, I thought) United. Now, I only see his words as no more or less than lie upon lie upon lie trying to please everyone with his sharp tongue and labeling Republicans enemies and declaring a war on the entire party.
I hope Scott pulls it off in Alaska, actually; but, at the same time I don’t like Barbara Boxer or Patty Murray only because they seem like Obama butt kissers just like Pelosi. Scott is concerned about Alaska and they are only concerned about the party. That is what I see as integrity in these races.

Scott McAdams needs to have Tank do an unrehearsed commercial about why Alaskans should not vote for the two opposing candidates and why Scott should be voted in. Even if it is a You tube commercial. He tells it like it is. And I'll bet it would get national air time for the pennies that it would cost to make.
It's been my observation that people who favor republican, are very often people easily influenced by the "bandwagon" tactic. On the other hand, it seems that people who choose democrat are people who enjoy facts and who "do the math". So it should be pretty easy to figure out how to talk to whoever it is you want to change that vote. And I've noticed that republicans are using reverse-rhetoric tactics, trying to use phrases used by dems and not revealing their party. I'm just beginning to take an interest in politics, and I can finally see the fierce excitement of it all.
Great show tonight Rachel ! You really showed what a poor choice Sharon Angle is and I hope you were singing to more than the choir tonight ! Excellent work ! Thank you.
