Senate candidate John Raese, a very rich guy who's sort of from West Virginia, got what you might or might not call help from the National Republican Senatorial Committee. The NRSC put out a call for actors with a " 'Hicky' Blue Collar Look" to play the part of coal miners and truckers against Democratic candidate Joe Manchin.
Which works great until Politico spots your help-wanted ad. I'd love to see the help-wanted ad for Sharron Angle's new anti-immigration ad.

I grew up in Appalachia, and the term is "hick." "Hicky" is a misspelling of a slang term for a love-bite. What is it with conservatives and their complete ignorance of common sexual terminology? Even if you accept it as evidence of their deep sexual repression, they could at least check Urban Dictionary so as not to embarrass themselves.

I'd like to remind the NRSC that, in order to appear sincere, the phrase "West by God Virginia" has to be included in any future political adds. No charge for the advice.

It doesn't say blue collar hick.
It says 'Hicky' Blue collar.
I think people got this all wrong.
It should be 'Hickey', a brand name.
Note 'John Deere' is also mispelled, missing an 'e.'
Nobody uses the fake work 'hicky' to describe a hick.

Being from WV this really burns me up. As John Raese said I got my money the old fashion way, I inherited it. Well John why don't you take your inherited money, your "hicky" commercial, and yourself and jump off the bridge crossing the Kanawa River!! How many attempts have you made at running for office? Joe Manchin is twice the man you will ever be, and deserves to be the US Senator for Robert Byrd. He could have appointed himself when he died, but no, he did it the old fashion way, the right way. Oh how could I forget, you don't know anything about the right way!! Under the table and underhanded is what you stand for. This West Virginian will be out on election day in full force voting for the man that deserves to be in DC, Joe Manchin. He has been an outstanding Govenor, an outstanding citizen, and has done what is best for WV. What have you done Raese??
