Christine O'Donnell tells Fox News that she's done with national media and ready to focus on local coverage for the Delaware voters who'll actually vote in November.
That's not the part of her appearance the local media is paying attention to. From the Wilmington News-Journal, "Christine O'Donnell uses Hannity show to provide new answers on financial charges":
According to court documents, O'Donnell stopped paying the mortgage on her Wilmington home in October 2007. In the spring of 2008, the mortgage holder sued O'Donnell and received a judgement on the home. Weeks before the scheduled sheriff's sale date, O'Donnell sold the house to a then-boyfriend and campaign attorney.
When asked previously, O'Donnell had denied there were any problems with her mortgage, said she was unaware of the suit by the holder and told supporters she sold the home to get out of debt and run against then Sen. Joe Biden.
O'Donnell told Hannity that she did in fact fall behind on her mortgage payments. She said it was because she had taken on a pro bono clinet as part of her freelance public relations work.
The local/national thing gets to be a real problem when you've left a record with one that you then try to change with the other.

She can do a jail cell interview with Hannity when she goes to jail for mis-use of campaign funds. Bill Maher had the chance to stick in the knife on Chris Matthews last night, and he would not do it; looks like Bill felt sorry for her. She is more pathetic than laughable. He is the only person i've seen who actually writes out words like "Huuummmmm".... he has such a distinctive literary voice, (if you can call it that) and I just can't sit back and watch him swoop in and trick everyone into thinking he has something to say that is actually worth hearing.

Let me clarify: I can't criticize her positions because, quite frankly, it doesn't appear that she doesn't have an independent thought to criticize.
But I can mock her superficiality, her vapid personality, her naivete at admitting--on a national forum no less--that she has "dabbled in witchcraft" and had a date at on "a satanic altar," her cowardice when it comes to refusing to answer questions constituents want to hear, her statements about mastubation, and her hypocritical righteous indignation when the tables are turned and she's finally on the receiving end of scrutiny.
She dosen't need the progressives to assassinate her character. Looks like she's doing a fairly good job with that on her own.
Quite frankly, if she (or any other teapublican) is that thin skinned that they cannot stand test of public scrutiny and scream character assassination any time someone takes a closer look at their moral character or substance, perhaps they should find a different hobby than politics.

I don't live in DE, but am sick and tired of the Tea Party hyping anti-woman female candidates and assuming that the female half of the population will seem to magically forget that these candidates will set women's rights back a generation or three and that we'll merely vote for people such as Palin, O'Donnell and Angle because we all happen to have ovaries.

Yeah, that's a great way to answer voters' questions. And, yes, she does need to answer to all of america. Anyone who is elected to the Senate votes every day on bills and decisions that impact all of America.

I don't think calling O'Donnell out for changing her responses depending on the audience is "character assassination" it is just noting the facts. In addition, as O'Donnell is a candidate for public office, the public has a right to know if she has violated the law in her use of campaign contributions. Since two former colleagues have alleged improprieties in this area, the investigation called for by CREW and others is warranted.

It's practically a genetic prerequisite for repubs to be incapable of self-awareness, humility and embarrassment. How else do you explain the purge of rational, thinking people from the ranks of the repub party?
The problem here, folks is this; there is not "3rd party" to spoil the mid-term elections. There are these absolute, right-wing conservatives who are holding the 2nd party hostage to advance what ever their narrow-minded agenda is, and the 2nd party (GOP) no longer has the anatomical parts to bring this fringe in line. Come November 3, there will still be two parties (and a handful of Independents), and God have mercy on our souls if the New GOP wins any form of majority.
Where we (the gay community) missed the boat was; going into this mid-term, low expectation election, we should have identified and funded out own candidates for election. We should have found moderates that would have appealed to the silent populations sitting out there in the dark. Until we do something of that magnitude, we are nothing more than a token community that is only good for lip service once every four years.
I fear for all gays in this country. The right wants to take it back the days they forced them into hiding. Our country has gone backwards under President Obama but it is not his fault but the rights effort to make this man's term his Waterloo.
