Rachel, I just watched your Friday podcast and I feel the need to express my outrage at what that man said about you. What he said was complete garbage and it only shows his own bigotry and complete lack of intelligence.
I haven't stopped laughing about that part of Friday's episode yet. I told everyone I know to watch it online. Don't feel bad Rachel, you are not alone. I too am a short-haired, flat chested, lesbian....and as it turns out I also have two creepy moles on my neck on the right side. Maybe someone should tell that guy to watch out in case we make a lesbian vampire army whose only purpose is to discredit those people (like him) who clearly spend too much time frog gigging.
I represent the "other" side... (you know... straight, "average", m/c male), and it was HILARIOUS!!! Way to fight back against stupidity. You ladies keep fighting the good fight. (I know my friends of similar preference would be proud!)
BTW, did you get the T-Shirt in Germany or Ann Arbor? (both progressive places ;) We're "lovin' it" with the Ben & Jerry's!
Rachel, plain and simple, you are my Hero!!! You are a better woman than I am, that guy made me mad for a moment before I reminded myself what a bigoted fool he is. You are amazing! Keep it up!
NB, not all of his sketches are that spot-on, and in fact, his follow-up, "Out of the Lesbian Vampire Closet," posted yesterday, seems to me pretty rough around the gills. But "The Shocking Truth About Rachel Maddow" just happens to be a masterpiece -- smooth enough to have convinced much (most?) of the commenting population that it was for real. I mean, look at those wandering eyes! What a characterization! Magnificent!
Billy Bob is waxier than a sow's ear. But Paul Day is a genius.
We just did a two hour interview with Billy Bob Neck aka Paul Day on the radio show, Ya Think?. The podcast will be available tomorrow on I Tunes and at http://bluerootsradio.com
Paul was a wonderful guest and is a true liberal and a very funny man. He was honored to be on Rachel's show. Hope you give a listen...
You're the first one to notice (or at least the first to notice in writing). I think most people are distracted by the name of the ice cream. Or else maybe Nosferatu isn't as popular as I thought?
(The Obama on the other screen was already there. That wasn't me.)
Giggles...I'll be gone for the next 2 weeks as I move to Portland from Chicago so I just hope that you know I was kidding and you're my friend /huggles =) yes I know sooo gay?! AHH!
WHAT? No new flavor? *whimpers* Good thing you all said something. I was gonna ask for a special order at the local market later today. How embarassing...
Yes'm and it's okies no worries...I am moving from Chicago to Portland...I am going to be finishing my bachelor's there and then hopefully will move to Washington state where I hope to settle (no offense to you east coasters...I like the idea of being on the east but my wife does not...)
Awesome... You win the Internetz today, Rachel!
How on Earth will you ever top all this nuttiness in time for Halloween? Or will Halloween just fizzle, oh I hope not. Love the I-scream.
I scream, you sceam, we all scream for Les Bean, Ice Cream.
(for the younger crowd an old advertising jingle from my father's days)
Can't believe pensword got my line!!! GMTA!! Dang, she's even hot with bad teeth.
That just took awesomeness to a whole new level.
Nice. Cream.
did Ben & Jerry's send that special just for you?
That's the best thing I ever saw

I'm guessing you don't know the man's a comedian, yeah?

HAHA WHAT. That's kind of incredible.

i may be the other half of this lesbian vampire phenomenon...
you see, while i don't have any odd neck moles (and i also have long hair and an ample chest), i do have fangs. it's all beginning to make sense...

It's worthwhile for all -- and apparently necessary for some! -- to check out what Paul Day (= "Billy Bob Neck") had to say today about his surprise appearance on TRMS: http://www.bostoncomedy.blogspot.com/2010/09/billy-bob-neck-on-rachel-maddow-show.html .
NB, not all of his sketches are that spot-on, and in fact, his follow-up, "Out of the Lesbian Vampire Closet," posted yesterday, seems to me pretty rough around the gills. Bruce, listen to the podcast tomorrow for two hours of Paul Day.
It was a funny piece. What's sad is that things have gotten so flippy out there that one could easily take this as a serious statement. Sad, but true.
Of course you have to know that I live in Arizona. Billy Bob represents your 'normal' citizen here.
(Okay, just kidding, but only barely.... :})

I had a wonderful time! Thanks for asking me on! BTW - I've seen suggestions that Rachel should be on True Blood. #justsayin
To the Ben and Jerry's weekend crew: You've just converted one more into a proud Ben and Jerry's loyal consumer. And I'm not easy.
Your ice cream and flavor varieties ROCK!
Kinda looks like the "Nosferatu" silent terror film in the background. Never was much for the screaming in modern horror films.
You're the first one to notice (or at least the first to notice in writing). I think most people are distracted by the name of the ice cream. Or else maybe Nosferatu isn't as popular as I thought?

nice job photoshopping, Will
Shhh will you ruin it when you tell the truth /nod :D
PS there's no Santa Claus and Mom leaves the nickel under the pillow when I lose a tooth....
I told those truths when I was in the second grade, after that the teacher started treating me like an adult. Heady stuff.
(Sorry, I just finished the final exam for my Auditing I class and I am a bit punchy.)
Gorramit /punches Mightbe - you ruined my fantasy /sigh
Ah, MM, I am certain that other fantasies can take its place....
Giggles...I'll be gone for the next 2 weeks as I move to Portland from Chicago so I just hope that you know I was kidding and you're my friend /huggles =) yes I know sooo gay?! AHH!

MM, that's a long drive. But the last part along the Columbia River is pretty, if going that way. Safe travels.
MM - Hope your tenure in the Windy City is a good one, are you actually going to be in the city proper or in one of the 'burbs?
I intend to move to the East Side I don't know yet though. I'll move wherever I can get an apartment.
Mickey Mouser - just FYI, the "East Side" of Chicago is Lake Michigan, lol.
No east side of Portland goober :D I live by Lake Michigan right now :D
Sorry, misread, thought you were moving to Chicago not from Chicago.
Yes'm and it's okies no worries...I am moving from Chicago to Portland...I am going to be finishing my bachelor's there and then hopefully will move to Washington state where I hope to settle (no offense to you east coasters...I like the idea of being on the east but my wife does not...)
Sorry to be O/T, but this is important to get out to the public ASAP:
Huge voter suppression plot exposed in Wisconsin

They burned up 10,000 voting machines in Harris County Texas in a mysterious fire.

The media refuses to tackle this problem. I keep asking myself why that is?
That is the most awesome thing ever.
I think this at last establishes that Rachel Maddow is hydrogen bomb awesome.
I thought vampires had perfect vision?
shutUP that is too awesome! i wonder if its available at Safeway, lol. the icecream i mean. instant rachel maddow would be ok too = )
Definite bonus points for the Nosferatu screensaver.
HIlarious! Keep 'em laughin', Maddow. Brilliant.
