Come on, Team Rachel...!!! You caught the Arizona Iced Tea boycott story but didn't giggle at the irony of it?!?!
That being... a boycott to protest a new law that may unfairly target innocent citizens... has resulted in the targeting of an innocent beverage!!

Random comments on last night's show:
100 miles by 45 is not the size of Ohio; it's more like Connecticut. Ohio is 200-plus by 200-plus. This may not matter to most people, but I'm a geography geek....
In your piece on profiling, at one point, you took someone's endorsement of "profiling," of a sort that may be appropriate, as an endorsement of RACIAL profiling, which is something else entirely. I watch your show nearly every night and generally agree with your point of view and appreciate your intelligence and wit. But I listen critically, and this sort of intellectual sloppiness from you disappoints me. And can damage your credibility with those who are less well-disposed.
And on the Obama-plays-the-race-card issue, I have to say that hearing him speak of the African-Americans, Latinos and women who voted for him rubbed me the wrong way - as a person who voted for him and expects to do so again, but who is not African-American, Latino or female. They need to be careful about this sort of thing. There must be a way of making that point that's less alienating to a portion of the electorate.
It doesn't look like you've spoken of Tim Wise's wonderful article on the tea party: "What If the Tea Party Were Black?" - a great article! http://bit.ly/cqqwae

Thanks for your consistency in pointing out racial injustice!
Michael in Philly beat me to it, but...
Last night, Rachel stated, “The [oil] slick is now 100 miles by 45 miles making it roughly the size of Ohio.” 100 x 45 = 4500 square miles.
The land area of Ohio is 40,948 square miles.

However, I agreed completely with Rachel's segment on profiling. Profiling based on actual criminal activities may be a necessary part of police work. Profiling pre-emptively is too far down the slippery slope to prejudice based on physical, ethnic, or religious characteristics aimed at characterizing persons as "other" and thus worthy of suspicion.
I am 65 years old and I am offended that the Republicans did not accuse Obama of ageism when he asked his supporters to reach out to young voters! Where's the fake outrage on my behalf? Why no accusation that Obama is playing the age card, and playing it from the bottem of the deck? Do Republicans think they can take us oldsters for granted?
That does it; I'll be voting Democratic!
