Buddy, you caught my feeling perfectly. I was thinking just those very things as I returned from work. What can we all do to make sure that we have a working government after November? Frame the message of brave Americans working for the people of the USA.

Because MA has legalized same sex marriages so Rachel can live her life with her partner (wife?) and have legal standing.

I feel compelled to make a "sanctity of marriage" crack right about now too all things considered .....

Okay, let me walk you through it slowly. When two people of the opposite sex live together outside of the bonds of marriage then religious whackos call that living in sin. The irony here is that even if Rachel and Susan were married, those same religious whackos would STILL call it living in sin but for an entirely different reason. I know it was a stretch and I definitely should have put the smilies all around to make it clear that it was a joke but I was hoping that the joke would be self-evident since no one who would use the term Living In Sin would possibly selectively apply it to Rachel and Susan based on whether they are married or not.

I love that Rachel Maddow posts here, and I would like her to continue. But this isn't a fan site where you can ask or discuss anything pertaining to Rachel Maddow.

I would dearly love to see Rachel or her staff come back and discuss these topics in comments. That will never happen if the the discussion goes wildly off course as it has here. Seriously doubt that she would come back to discuss whether or not she is living in sin, but who knows, she might come back to discuss the actual issues.

I'm hoping that Vegas will help out, because I can assure you that Northern Nevada is not likely to. I see a lot of "Reject Reid" stickers. Though I'm hoping his son will spank Gibbons in the gubernatorial race. *fingers crossed* *knock on wood*
