To those who don't already know Saddam's Statue was pointing towards Israel because they intend to destroy Israel. The entire Arab world believes Israel does not have the right to exist.
But really if you think about the curvature of space/time due to the force of gravity, he was ultimately pointing at his own butt. A pointed finger must follow the same rules adorned by light. Perhaps he smelled his finger and that bit of the image fell off the branch (lintel) that he was perched on. Israel is no innocent but neither was Saddam.
